Most of these tracks were composed was participating in the last three February Album Writing Month songwriting challenges. Some of the tracks evolved from chord progressions I worked out on guitar (often using a partial capo) and recorded on my phone initially. I used oolimo.com to identify the proper chord names (based on the key) and used software (mostly Band-in-a-Box and Realtracks. Realtracks provided musical phrases recorded by live studio musicians that allow ne to generate (and regenerate) individual accompaniment tracks (e.g. bass, keys, drums, guitar) that can be edited/comped into an authentic sounding performance. I did my own mixing/mastering once I had the individual tracks.
